LUBBOCK, Texas - The Women's Basketball Journal released it's top 30 poll today and the publication ranks the Texas Tech women's basketball team 10th in its preseason poll.
This marks the seventh preseason ranking for the Lady Raiders. Tech was also ranked fourth by Women's Basketball Magazine, fifth by Lindy's, fifth by Women's Basketball News Service, seventh by SLAM Magazine, ninth by Athlon's and 12th by Basketball News.
Seven of Tech's 2001-02 opponents are ranked in the poll, including Big 12 foes Oklahoma, Iowa State, Baylor and Colorado.
The Lady Raiders will tip-off the season on Nov. 11 against Duke in the State Farm Tip-Off Classic in Durham, N.C. at noon CST on ESPN.
