Tech Soccer Adds Signee

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head soccer coach Felix Oskam announced the signing of Allison Seifert to a national letter of intent Tuesday.

Seifert starred as a 5-7 defender at La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, N.M., where she was named second team all-district and honorable mention all-state.

She is a club teammate of Tech signee Roxanne Frilot on Rio FC. The teammates combined to lead Rio FC to a first-place finish in the Thanksgiving tournament in Phoenix, Ariz., this past year, as well as third-place finishes at the Orange Bowl Classic (Miami, Fla.) and the President's day tourney in Arizona.

"I think Allison will be a great addition to our defense at Texas Tech," Oskam said. "Obviously she knows the tendencies of Roxanne (Frilot) from Rio FC, and that may help in the transition for both players to the collegiate level."

Tech continues its spring season March 25 with home matches against Image 84 at 10 a.m. and Angelo State at 4 p.m.
