Red Raiders Announce 2001 Soccer Schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head soccer coach Felix Oskam announced the 2001 schedule on Wednesday, which includes 10 home matches at R.P. Fuller Stadium.
The Red Raiders begin the season August 31 at home against TCU.
The Red Raiders will play 10 home matches, including two against nationally ranked teams from last season, Missouri and Texas A&M. Other home opponents include UTEP, Denver, Texas, West Texas A&M, Kansas and Stephen F. Austin. Regular season play will conclude with Big 12 opponent Colorado on November 2.
Tech will travel nine times in 2001, including five Big 12 stops, beginning with a match at Arkansas September 2. New Mexico, Oral Roberts, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Iowa State and Nebraska round out the road schedule for the Red Raiders.
A two-game home stretch in late September will see the Red Raiders face Texas A&M and Texas in the same weekend, and a four-game homestand in mid-October includes Kansas and Missouri in Big 12 action.
Tech will host Denver and UTEP in the Four Points Sheraton Shootout on September 7-9 at R.P. Fuller Stadium. The Red Raiders will also look to return to the Big 12 Tournament in San Antonio, Texas, November 7-10 after a one-year absence.
