Lady Raiders Win Game One of European Tour

ARRAS, France - The Texas Tech women's basketball team started off its European tour with an 89-50 win over Arras BBC of Arras, France.
Sophomore Casey Jackson paced the Lady Raiders with 15 points followed by sophomore Natalie Ritchie with 14. Senior Tanisha Ellison added 13 points, while sophomores Dionne Brown and Jia Perkins each chipped in 12.
Ellison led the team in rebounds with seven and Jackson grabbed six. Perkins had a team-high seven assists, while senior Candi White dished out four. Junior Jamie Nagle was the top shot blocker with three blocks.
As a team, the Lady Raiders shot 50.7 percent from the field, connecting of 36 of 71 shots. Tech also shot 25 percent from three-point range (4-of-16) and 72.2 percent from the free throw line (13-of-18).
Tech will play again on Friday, August 16 against Namur BBC of Namur, Belgium.
