Lady Raiders Improve to 2-0

NAMUR, Belgium - The Texas Tech women's basketball team improved to 2-0 on its European tour with an 81-49 victory over Namus BBC. Tonight was the second of six games the Lady Raiders will play while in Europe.
Sophomore Jia Perkins led Tech with 19 points, while senior Tanisha Ellison added 14 and senior Amber Tarr poured in 13, hitting three-of-six three-point attempts. Sophomore Dionne Brown scored 12 points.
Ellison was the top rebounder, grabbing nine boards, while sophomore Casey Jackson chipped in eight. Junior Jamie Nagle had a game-high three blocks and Brown led the team in assists with three.
The Lady Raiders shot 44.9 percent from the field (31-69), 30.8 percent from three-point range (4-13) and 68.2 percent from the charity stripe (15-22).
Tech will now face Racing Strasbourg on Saturday, August 18, at 8 p.m. local time.
