What's up from Switzerland? I think that today was a day that built character and really showed what we (as a team) are made of. We woke up at about 8:00, went and ate breakfast and hit the road once again, this time heading for Switzerland. About two hours down the road we stopped and had lunch. Now check this out, I am a really picky eater so I didn't really like anything that they had so, I decided to eat the usual, french fries. I guess that the fries here have some extra potato or something different than American fries because this plate of French fries cost me about $6.00. Isn't that crazy?
After lunch we got back on the bus and still had about two more hours to travel. While on the bus, we watched the movie Dave and listened to our cd players. We went straight to the game and so I guess it is safe to say that we were a little tired. When we got to the gym we had about twenty minutes to warm up. So the first quarter we played awful. We got " kicked". We were losing 11-28 to a team that we should have been beating by about twenty. We could've easily given up because we were tired but in the second quarter we came out ready to play. In the end we ended up winning by about 18 points. YES!
We checked into our rooms, which look really old fashion. We have these cot- looking things for beds and these old fashion radios. But it is a really nice hotel. Now we are heading out for dinner and then early to bed as tomorrow we are going to do some sightseeing and shopping around Montreux, Switzerland.
See you back in Lubbock,
Casey Jackson
