Greetings from the great country of Switzerland. Today we woke up and went to Chateau de Chillon, which is a castle from the 12th century. It was a fun experience. We were given a tour by one of the locals that was a hour long. She showed us dining areas, weapons, bedrooms, and lastly the dungeon. The castle was not made for basketball players, it was made for short people. The walk-ways were so short that even I had to bend down sometimes, so you know how Jamie felt.
After the castle, we came back to the hotel and went our separate ways. Some of us went to eat and then shopping, while others went to the pool and others just hung out around the hotel. The popular souvenirs people bought were the Swiss watches, Swatch watches, and Swiss army knives. Then most of us players came back to our rooms to rest a little before heading to the game.
Next we left for our game against Martigny, the Switzerland champions. We had a better start to tonight's game than we had in previous games. We had a lot of people step it up especially Dionne, who led us with 22 points. Natalie also had a good night with 15 points and Jamie was strong on the boards with 10.
After the game, we headed back to our hotel, which was about a 45-minute bus ride. Once we got back we showered and now are getting ready to lay down and call it a night, as we have a very long bus ride to Nice, France in the morning.
Hello to my Mom and Dad - I love you.
A demain (until tomorrow)
