LUBBOCK, Texas - A late storm bank covering the skies to the northwest provided big relief from a hot West Texas day as the Red Raiders completed the last weekday practice of Fall Training Camp.
Tech returned to the grass practice fields south of Jones SBC Stadium for a single afternoon workout after taking the morning off. The day focused primarily on defensive work as secondary coach Dave Brown worked extensively on pass route coverage for a large majority of practice.
During the team period, the coaching staff worked on several defensive schemes including defending the no-huddle offense.
The Red Raiders hit the practice field again for a pair of workouts Saturday. Practice times are 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. A scrimmage during the team period of the afternoon session is pending.
