Bonjour everyone!
Today was another glorious day here in Nice (pronounced Niece). To start the day off, we took a road trip to see more beautiful scenery in Monaco. Here, we viewed the cathedral of Monaco, where Princess Grace Kelly is buried. To finish off our tour in Monaco, we watched the changing of the guards in front of the Palace of the Prince.
After returning to Nice, it was off to a day at the beach. Following a long day there, we all had the munchies.
We decided to have some seafood for dinner. (Sports Information Assistant) Tammi (Hoffman) and I shared a huge platter of shellfish. We had everything from escargot to lobster. This was a first-time thing for me to have escargot, clams, mussels and lobster. (Team trainer) Imelda (Garcia), Jolee (Ayers), Nat (Ritchie), Tammi and Melissa (Maines) all tried the escargot (snails). We were still hungry, so we went to get some ice cream.
Next we (the team) were on the run to find coach (Linden) Weese a birthday gift (his birthday is Aug. 23). We are now on our way to the park to listen to a band before we go to bed. Before I sign off, I just wanted to personally thank all the people who made this trip possible. This is the best trip yet. Thanks so much!
Can't wait to see you in a couple of days.
