LUBBOCK, Texas - Season ticket holders holding tickets in the 100 level sections or the box seats will be getting to their seats via staircases this season. All ramps under the stadium have been replaced with staircases.
If any fans have trouble maneuvering the steps, the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office will be happy to relocate them to areas that are more accessible. Season tickets in sections 102, 108, 116, 117, 118 and 119 are still being held due to the stadium renovation. As row numbers and seats are secured, tickets are being released and mailed.
"We appreciate the patience of our fans," said Russell Warren, Texas Tech Director of Ticket Operations. "Seats in the stadium have been changing and the last thing we want to do is send out tickets that there are no seats for. We will definitely have all tickets before next Saturday -- it will just be down to the wire. Over 300 seats have had to be relocated -- needless to say it has been a very sensitive issue."
Nearly 25,000 season tickets have been sold thus far, including Tech student tickets.
