Lady Raiders Get Another Top Five Ranking

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's basketball team is preseason ranked third by Womenscollegehoops.com. The Lady Raiders were also picked preseason third by Basketball News earlier this month, which marks the highest preseason rankings so far this year.
The Lady Raiders, who were picked to win the 2003 Big 12 Championship by the league coaches last week, are one of three Big 12 teams ranked in the top 25. Following Tech is Kansas State at seventh and Texas at 12th. Tech's first two opponents of the 2002-03 season, Louisiana Tech and Washington, are ranked 22nd and 16th, respectively.
The Lady Raiders will tip-off the 2002-03 season in the State Farm Tip-Off Classic against Louisiana Tech Nov. 10 at 11:30 a.m. CT on ESPN2.
