LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech University Department of Athletics, in conjunction with the Texas Tech Police Department, announced today it will not allow fans on the field, before, during or after the game, beginning with Saturday's game against the University of Texas. This policy will be strictly enforced.
Those who jump the rails and enter the field area are subject to be detained by the Texas Tech Police Department. As in past years, individuals who violate stadium policies, present a safety threat, or are disruptive may be removed from the stadium and may be subject to arrest.
Individuals will not be allowed on the field for any reason, including retrieving armbands, headbands and decals from players' helmets or any other equipment.
Additionally, the athletic department would like to ask parents to please keep their children from jumping over the rails following the game.
