LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Natalie Ritchie made four 3-pointers and scored 20 points to lead No. 13 Texas Tech to a 99-67 victory over Washington on Sunday.
Texas Tech (1-1) scored 11 straights points to extend its lead to 19-5 with 12:20 remaining in the first half. Guard Jia Perkins initiated the run with a steal and layup, and Ritchie capped the surge with a 3-pointer.
Washington (1-1) closed within 21-15 at 10:12 of the first half, but Tech countered with a 13-0 run that stretched the lead to 34-15 with 4:41 left in the half.
Plenette Pierson scored 15 points and Latoya Davis added 14 for Texas Tech.
Giuliana Mendiola scored 17 points for Washington.
