Nebraska used an 8-0 run, getting four points from Mitchell, to cut the lead to 56-40, but that was as close as it got.
The Huskers stayed in it early in the first half despite eight turnovers in the first 10 minutes. Nebraska's zone forced Tech to the outside, where the Raiders were just 7-for-20 to start the game.
After Nebraska's Monique Whitfield tied it at 17-all with a jump shot in the lane, the Huskers turned the ball over on eight of their next nine possessions, allowing Tech to go on a 14-0 run.
Pierson had seven points during the run, which started on a three-point play off a missed free throw.
