LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech football coaches and staff will host the Red Raider Football Coaching School Friday and Saturday, April 5-6, at the Rotunda in the Business Administration building. The Red Raider Coaching School is being presented in conjunction with ASCO, a proud sponsor and supporter of Texas Tech Football.
The camp will feature topics ranging from the Texas Tech offense and defense to nutrition and strength. Steve Halpin, head coach of Texas Class 5A State Champion Mesquite High School, will be the featured high school coach on the program.
Other special features for the two-day school include one-on-one opportunities with members of the Texas Tech coaching staff, a clinic notebook, drill tape, chalk talk sessions with Texas Tech coaches, player demonstrations, interactive audio-visual presentations, Red Raider spring practice sessions and the popular Living Legends Social on Friday night.
There are three ways to register for the Red Raider Football Coaching School: 1) Contact the football office at (806) 742-4260 ext. 245, 2) print the registration form from www.texastech.com and fax it to (806) 742-0299, or 3) mail the form to Texas Tech Football, P.O. Box 43021, Lubbock, TX 79409. Pre-registration fee for the coaching school is $35, while cost for four or more coaches registering together is $30. Registration at the door is $40. Coaching school participants are encouraged to register prior to April 1.
Attendees needing hotel accommodations can contact the Sheraton Four Points at (806) 747-0171 or the University Plaza at (806) 763-5712. Reservations can be secured with a credit card and must be made prior to March 18th to insure availability. Be sure to mention the Red Raider Football Coaching School when making reservations.
