Sharp To Be Honored By Tech Students

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head women's basketball coach Marsha Sharp will be honored by the Texas Tech student body at halftime of the women's basketball game Saturday, Feb. 23 against Nebraska.
Sharp will be presented the Will Rogers Award and the Double T Award. These awards are in recognition of Sharp's service to the university. She is the first person to receive both awards in the same year.
In honor of Sharp, the Texas Tech Athletics Department and the Student Government Association will admit all Tech students to the game with a valid student ID. Also, the first 1,000 students in the door will receive a free commemorative 20-year celebration shirt in honor of Sharp's 20th year as head coach of the Lady Raiders.
The Lady Raiders will tip-off against the Huskers at 7:15 p.m. at the United Spirit in their last regular-season home game.
