LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach will be the featured guest on a live chat hosted by ESPN.com at noon (CT) Friday.
Leach, entering his third season at Texas Tech, has led the Red Raiders to two-consecutive bowl appearances in his first two seasons. He is the first coach in school history to do so. He also ranks second at Tech among coaching wins after the first two seasons with 14.
The Red Raiders face a daunting 2002 schedule with road dates against Ohio State in Pigskin Classic, at Fiesta Bowl participant Colorado, at Texas A&M and Oklahoma. Tech hosts Mississippi and N.C. State in non-conference play and face Texas at home later in the season.
Heisman hopeful Kliff Kingsbury is Leach's top returner on offense. The senior from New Braunfels, Texas, holds 33 school records and is on pace to become only the 19th player in NCAA history to pass for 10,000 career yards.
