Coach Leach recently added the 25th newcomer to the 2002 recruiting class with Mesquite (Texas) High School defensive standout Chris Hudler who earned All-District honors last season as a defensive end and helped lead MHS to the Class 5A State Championship. He was named to the Insiders.com Texas Super Team for his efforts. Hudler received All-District honors as a tight end as a junior and is an All-District track standout.
