LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's golf travels to Aiken, S.C., to compete Monday and Tuesday, March 18-19, in the Fifth Annual Cleveland Golf Collegiate Championship hosted by the University of South Carolina at Aiken.
The No. 41 Red Raiders will take on 14 other teams in a field that boasts several Top 100-ranked Division I and II schools: Florida State (D-I), No. 58 Furman (D-I), No. 16 Georgia College & State (D-II), No. 40 Kansas (D-I), No. 44 Maryland (D-I), No. 5 Pfeiffer (D-II), South Florida (DI), No. 81 Southeastern Louisiana (D-I), No. 3 University of South Carolina at Aiken (D-I), No. 61 University of Texas-Arlington (D-I), University of Texas-Pan American (D-II), Tulane (D-I), No. 82 Virginia Commonwealth (D-I) and No. 16 Virginia Tech (D-I).
The men's golf team shot a three-round score of 881 (295, 289, 297) to tie in 7th place with Big 12 opponent Kansas earlier this week at the 17th Louisiana Classics. The Red Raiders head into their third tournament of the spring campaign with a record of finishing in the top 10 in previous competitions.
Tech will begin the first round of play Monday at the Palmetto Golf Club with an 8-8:30 a.m. shotgun start (EST). Final round will resume Tuesday also at 8-8:30 a.m.
