
Annual Red-Black Game Scheduled

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's annual Red-Black football game will kick off Sat., April 13, at 2 p.m. at Jones SBC Stadium, giving Red Raider fans a preview of the 2002 Red Raider football team. Texas Tech football alumni will open the event with the alumni flag football game at 1 p.m.
Admission is free to the event and the first 1,500 fans will receive a free Texas Tech clicker. Red Raider fans also are invited to an autograph and photograph session immediately following the scrimmage.
The Red Raiders have been working through spring drills over the last two weeks and culminate spring practice with the Red-Black game. Featured among the stars of the 2002 Red Raiders are Heisman Trophy Candidate Kliff Kingsbury, All-America, Lombardi and Butkus awards candidate Lawrence Flugence, and All-America candidate Aaron Hunt.
The Red Raiders open the 2002 campaign in the NACDA Pigskin Classic at Ohio State Sat., Aug. 24, at 2:30 p.m. ABC will carry the game nationally.
