LUBBOCK, Texas - Country music recording artist and Texas Tech graduate Pat Green will be honored in a special pre-game presentation prior to the first pitch of Friday night's Texas Tech baseball game with the Oklahoma Sooners.
Green, a 1997 graduate of Texas Tech, is one of the most popular recording artists in the State of Texas and has begun to make his presence known on the national scene. His video Carry On made it all the way up to No. 1 on the CMT (Country Music Television) Most Wanted Live chart and his video Three Days climbed all the way up to No. 3.
Green, who recently sold out a concert at the Astrodome in Houston, currently has the No. 31 song on the Billboard chart in Three Days.

Friday night's first-pitch will be delivered by Susan Meador who will be representing the Texas Tech Federal Credit Union and the Texas Tech Alumni Association. Meador became the very first person to join the Texas Tech Federal Credit union through a special joint program through the Alumni Association.
