Women's Basketball to Hold First Practice Oct. 12

LUBBOCK, Texas - - The Texas Tech women's basketball team will hold its first practice Saturday, Oct. 12 at 3-5 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena. Fans are invited to the practice and to join the Lady Raiders after practice for a chance to talk with the players and coaches.
The day will begin with Lady Raider practice from 3-5 p.m. From 5-6:30 p.m. there will an autograph session and the coaches will also preview the upcoming season. Fans will get a chance to listen to the student-athletes speak and meet the newcomers on the team. There will be free food and drinks and door prizes for those in attendance.
People who attend practice are eligible to receive free admission to the Texas Tech vs. Texas volleyball game at 7 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena.
Tech will tip-off the 2002-03 season on Nov. 10 against Louisiana Tech in the State Farm Tip-Off Classic in Knoxville, Tenn., at 11:30 a.m. CT on ESPN2.
