Activities Planned For Home Opener

LUBBOCK, Texas - Football fans will find a variety of activities to enjoy surrounding this weekend's Texas Tech home opener against Mississippi. Kickoff is 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Jones SBC Stadium.

Free parking is once again available at the lots just west of United Spirit Arena. Citibus will supply round-trip transportation to and from the stadium for $2.

Raider Alley, located just southwest of the stadium, will open at 11:30 a.m. with food and entertainment. Bo Garza and Seth Walker will provide the stage entertainment during Raider Alley's three-hour run.

The Raider Fun Zone, located adjacent to Raider Alley, provides inflatable game fun for the youngsters. Admission is free.

Commemorating 9-11, the game ball will be delivered by representatives of the fire department, Red Cross, EMS, police and United Way.
