Petree Departs Women's Basketball Team

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head women's basketball coach announced today that senior guard Cayla Petree has decided to leave the basketball team and concentrate on academics.
The Cisco, Texas, native played in eight games last season and averaged one point per game as a walk-on but was put on scholarship this past summer for the 2003-04 academic year.
With her departure, Tech now has 13 student-athletes on its roster, including freshman Tawanna Flowers, who will redshirt the 2003-04 season.
