LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Plenette Pierson had another big game for No. 8 Texas Tech.
Pierson scored 29 points and had six rebounds to lead Tech over Kansas 84-57 Saturday.
Pierson set a career high with 32 points earlier this week in an 84-50 win over Missouri.
"I think I am more comfortable," said Pierson, who shot 11-of-14 from the field. "It was a long week, and it is great for us to get another win."
Texas Tech (18-2, 7-1 Big 12) forced 18 turnovers and converted them into 25 points.
"It was big for us," Pierson said. "We are 7-1, and five of those have been on the road. It is difficult to get wins on the road."
Kansas (9-10, 2-6) struggled for much of the game, going 7-of-25 in the first half and shooting only 33 percent for the game.
Jia Perkins added 13 points for Tech.
Aquanita Burras led Kansas with 16 points and five rebounds. She shot 10-for-10 from the line. They also received eight points and eight rebounds from Tamara Ransburg.
"I was watching game film, and I saw so many things change for this Kansas team," said Texas Tech coach Marsha Sharp, who needs three wins for 500. "They are going to be a really good basketball team."
Pierson had 21 first-half points, and Tech led 38-22 at the break.
