GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Texas Tech women's tennis doubles team of Irina Tereschenko and Beverly Dawson fell in the first round of the 2003 NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament being held at the University of Florida.

Tereschenko and Dawson fell to the No. 8 nationally ranked team of Sarah Whitten and Amy Trefethen from the University of Kentucky by scores of 7-6, 6-0.

Tech's doubles pair ends the season with a record of 13-4.
