Symons Picks Up Weekly Honor

LUBBOCK, Texas - CollegeFootballNews.com named B.J. Symons its Big 12 Conference Player of the Week following the Red Raiders 42-28 win over New Mexico last weekend.

Symons became only the second player in school history to account for six touchdowns in a game when he threw for five and rushed for one against the Lobos. Kliff Kingsbury also accomplished the feat last season against New Mexico in Albuquerque. Symons completed 37-of-54 passes for a career-high 418 yards in the win.

The Red Raiders are off this week, but return to action Sat., Sept. 20, at N.C. State in Raleigh, N.C. The game is set for 11 a.m. (CT) on ESPN2.
