Tech Volleyball Swept By Tigers

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech volleyball heads into its weekend match against No. 7 Nebraska still searching for a conference win after falling in three games, 30-13, 30-26, 30-22, at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo. Tech now falls to 8-4 and 0-3 in conference play.
A strong Tiger defense held the Raiders to only 38 kills and Tech's offensive leader Kelly Johnson to 11 kills, a season low. The Tiger defense tallied 18 blocks in the match with the Red Raiders marking eight blocks.
Sophomore Breanna Pursley led the team with 12 kills and a second best 11 digs to secure her second double-double of the season. Junior Jessy Herrera contributed a team high 12 digs while freshman Raven Garrett, in her first conference start, led the team with three blocks.
Tech will continue conference play this Saturday as they face the Cornhuskers in Lincoln, Neb., at 7 p.m.
