Peters picked up his 13th career touchdown reception later in the quarter to give him his first multiple touchdown game of his career. Peters added a third touchdown in the third quarter to move him into a tie for third place (with Wayne Walker and Rodney Blackshear) on the all-time Texas Tech touchdown reception list with 14. He also occupies fourth place on the all-time Texas Tech receptions list with 1,560- surpassing Donnie Hart (1995-98).
