Red Raiders-Longhorns Showdown Selected for TBS

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Big 12 Conference announced today that TBS will nationally broadcast Texas Tech's game against Texas on Sat., Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. CT from Jones SBC Stadium in Lubbock. The game will be the fifth-straight appearance for the Red Raiders on national television this season.
The Red Raiders are 3-1 on the tube this season with wins coming against TCU (70-35) and Kansas (31-30) on FSN and Nebraska (70-10) on TBS. The lone loss came against Oklahoma (28-13) on FSN. This season marks the first time Tech has played on television on five-consecutive dates.
Texas Tech is 4-2 overall and 2-1 in Big 12 Conference play on the season after a 70-10 win over Nebraska last weekend at Jones SBC Stadium. The Red Raiders rank eight nationally in scoring offense (39.2) and lead in passing (427.7) and total offense (517.3). Tech also boasts the nation's 39th-ranked defense.
