Fuller, Stratton Named to Academic All-District Teams

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech junior WR Cody Fuller (Smithson Valley, Texas) and sophomore LB Brock Stratton (San Antonio, Texas) were selected to the 2004 CoSIDA Academic District VI Football Team Thursday.
Fuller, one of two wide receivers listed, was named to the first team and currently holds a 3.45 grade point average in communications. He has emerged as one of the team's top receivers this season with 32 receptions for 324 yards. Fuller has been a starter in the last eight games this season.
Stratton earned second team honors and carries a 3.27 GPA in restaurant, hotel and institutional management. Stratton, who is one of three linebackers selected, made a quick entrance last season as s true freshman and has started in every game he has played in his brief career. He currently ranks third on the team with 47 tackles on the season.
Other Big 12 players on the first team are TE Billy Bajema (Oklahoma State) and DL Darnell Smith (Oklahoma State). OL Jason Glynn (Texas) and P Daniel Sepulveda (Baylor) join Stratton on the second team.
Players must carry a minimum grade point average of 3.2 for consideration.
