Jackie Ey Ranks 11th Among Big 12 Competitors

Lubbock, Texas - Senior Jackie Ey ranks 11th, announced today by the Big 12, in individual season stroke averages with a 75.22. Ey enters the spring with a 79.6 career average and had her best fall 2003 finish of a sixth-place tie come at the College of Charleston Invitational shooting a 224.
Juniors Sheila Mendez and Kim Kolb were also among those named to the Big 12's top individual list with a 20th and 28th place ranking. Mendez had her best finish come at the Roadrunner Invitational where she tied for 17th, shooting 226. Kolb set her career best 54-hole low of 219 this year at the Roadrunner Invitational where she was Tech's best finisher with a second-place tie overall.
The No. 44-Women's golf team will kickoff the spring season at the NCAA Central Regional Invitational, hosted by Michigan State and Northwestern. The 54-hole event will begin on February 23, and will wrap up play on February 24.
