The Red Raider Men's Golf Team Finishes 13th

Lubbock, Texas - The 41st ranked men's golf team shot a 287 in the final round of the Taylor Made/Waikoloa Intercollegiate in Waikoloa, Hawaii to end the tournament four-over, 868 (296-285-287). Tech was led by the clubs of sophomore Andrew Dresser and freshman Oscar Floren who helped the Red Raiders edge out host University of Hawaii-Hilo for the13th place spot.
Dresser was Tech's highest finisher for the fifth time this year with a three-under, 18th place tie, shooting 213 (70-70-73). Floren tied a personal best low-round by shooting 68 to top off a performance that improved every round of play by at least 3 strokes. Floren finished tied for 29th shooting a 215 (75-72-68).
Sophomore William Haddrell was Tech's third highest finisher shooting a 218 (74-73-71) improving every round to end the three-day event in a 47th place tie. Junior Chris Pace and sophomore Casey Jones round out the last of Tech's competitors shooting 224 and 231, finishing 78th and 97th, respectively.
No. 5 Georgia Tech, 841, took home the tournament title, their fourth in six years, with a three-stroke lead over second place finisher No.2 UCLA (844). No.24 Arkansas (845), No. 8 Arizona State 850 and No.40 Oklahoma (852) round out the top five.
The Red Raiders will have fours weeks off before they are back on the green at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, LA, March 8-9.
