Tech places three on All-Big 12 men’s golf first team
May 11, 2026 | Men's Golf
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech's trio of Adam Bresnu, Connor Graham, and Tim Wiedemeyer were each named first-team All-Big 12 selections, the conference office announced Monday as part of the 2026 men's golf postseason awards. It was the most first-team honorees of any school in the conference.
It marks the first time in program history the Red Raiders have placed three golfers on the All-Big 12 First Team in the same season. Texas Tech has now had multiple first-team selections seven times since joining the conference, previously accomplishing the feat in 2024, 2023, 2011, 2010, 2008, and 2006.
The 2026 season also marked the return of first- and second-team All-Big 12 honors following conference expansion. The league previously utilized a single All-Big 12 Team format, which was a first-team, from 2007-25 after using first- and second-team honors from its inaugural season in 1997 through 2006.
Postseason honors were determined using the latest Clippd rankings, with the top 10 golfers earning first-team recognition, and golfers ranked 11-20 receiving second-team honors.
Adam Bresnu | Junior
Bresnu is ranked No. 18 nationally by Clippd and shares the team lead with a 70.0 scoring average (68.4 adjusted) across 11 events during his first season as a Red Raider. The Odessa College transfer owns a team-best six top-10 finishes and four top-five finishes while recording nine top-20 finishes in 11 tournaments. He has carded 19 rounds at par or better, including 16 rounds in the 60s. Bresnu most recently earned Big 12 All-Tournament Team honors after tying for ninth at even par at the conference championship.
Connor Graham | Sophomore
Graham is ranked No. 22 nationally by Clippd and carries a 70.1 scoring average (68.5 adjusted) through 11 events this season. The sophomore leads Texas Tech with six eagles and shares the team lead with 16 rounds in the 60s. Graham posted a career-best runner-up finish at The Clerico this fall at Southern Hills Country Club after shooting 2-under across 54 holes. He owns nine top-20 finishes this season, including three top-10 showings.
Tim Wiedemeyer | Junior
Wiedemeyer is ranked No. 23 nationally by Clippd and shares the team lead with a 70.0 scoring average (68.5 adjusted) across 10 events. He claimed his first collegiate victory this season at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational, posting three consecutive rounds in the 60s to finish at 6-under 204. He also picked up Big 12 All-Tournament Team honors after a seventh-place finish at the conference championship (2-under). Wiedemeyer leads the Red Raiders with 24 rounds at par or better this season, including 11 rounds in the 60s. He has recorded seven of his 10 career top-20 finishes and five of his six career top-10 finishes during the 2025-26 campaign. He also matched his career-low round twice this season with a pair of 64s at the Amer Ari Invitational and Valspar Collegiate Invitational.
Guided by the trio's strong play, Texas Tech earned its 24th consecutive NCAA Regional selection last Wednesday and will head to the NCAA Corvallis Regional as the No. 2 seed May 18-20 at Trysting Tree Golf Club.
