Lubbock, Texas - Coming off a season best third-place finish at the Louisiana Classics, Tech hits the road again to Springfield, Louisiana, to take part in the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate. The Red Raiders are averaging a 289.7 stroke average on the season, and have set four Tech best top 10 54-hole scores, the most set in one single season.
Leading the team is sophomore Andrew Dresser (71.28), followed by senior Brad Jacobson (71.7) and freshman Oscar Floren (72.63). Dresser currently ranks first on Tech's top 10 single-season stroke average with Jacobson and Floren in second and fourth, respectively.
Tech did not compete last year in the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate but will face familiar competition in No.58 Denver, Louisiana-Lafayette, Southeastern Louisiana, North Texas, and Arkansas-Little Rock. The 15-team field consists of six teams Tech has not faced this year.
The 54-hole event will begin on Monday March 15th with an 8:30 a.m. 36-hole shotgun start, and will conclude play Tuesday March 16th.
