Lubbock, Texas - The No. 45 Lady Raider golf team got back on track, shooting a 21 over par 309 in the last round to take third place at the St. Croix Invitational in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. Junior Megan Hull turned in one of her lowest rounds of the tournament to lead Tech to its third top five finish of the year and its best of the spring season.

Hull was the Lady Raider's top performer throughout the weekend turning in a three-round score of 234 (75-83-76) finishing tied for 11th. Her 18 over par performance was her best finish of the year. Senior Jackie Ey improved every round to end tied for 13th, shooting 19-over par 235 (82-77-76)for her second best finish of the year. Shooting a 17-over par 237 (77-82-78), sophomore Hazel Tan turned in her best finish of the year with a 19th place tie, while junior Kim Kolb shot 83 and pair of 79 rounds to end tied for 31st. Junior Sheila Mendez, improving her shot throughout the weekend, finished in 46th with a three round total of 248 (86-83-79). Tech freshmen Leslie Wall (235) and Christine Kovalcik (238), competing as individuals, rounded out the last of Tech's competitors with 11th- and 21st-place finishes, respectively. The St. Croix Invitational marked the best finishes for both of Tech's freshmen, with it being Wall's first top 15 finish of her college career.

SMU shot 916 (296-311-309) to take the home tournament title, 13 strokes in front of second-place Baylor (929). Following Tech's (947) third place finish was, Illinois St. (958) in fourth. Tied for fifth was Xavier (959), Notre Dame (959)and Boston College (959). Rounding out the top 10 was Illinois (975), Texas-Pan American (987) and Wyoming (988).

Tech will return to action at the Tapitio Springs Golf Resort in San Antonio, Texas, at the Baylor/Tapitio Springs Shootout March 19-21.
