Texas Tech Football Begins Spring Practice Wednesday

LUBBOCK, Texas - Spring football practice gets underway at Texas Tech Wednesday, marking the official on-field beginning of the 2004 football season. All practices will be held on the grass practice fields directly behind the new football training facility.
The Red Raiders will practice through the annual Red-Black Game on April 17. Workouts are scheduled each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday through the spring game. Weekday practices are set to get underway at 3 p.m., while the March 27 and April 10 Saturday practices will begin at 10 a.m. Practice on Sat., April 3, is set for 1:30 p.m.
The April 17 Red-Black Game is scheduled for 11 a.m., preceded by the Alumni Flag Football Game at 10 a.m.
The Red Raiders open the 2004 season Sat., Sept. 4, at SMU, and plays its first home game Sat., Sept. 18, against former Southwest Conference rival TCU. Tech begins conference play Sat., Sept. 25, at Kansas.
