LUBBOCK, Texas - Junior right fielder Madison Edwards was named the Big 12 Conference Co-Player-of-the-Week following a stellar weekend against the Clemson Tigers. Edwards joined Josh Ford of Baylor who was the other recipient of the weekly honor.

Edwards had a stellar weekend at the plate for Texas Tech as he went 7-for-10 against the Tigers for a batting average of .700. He picked up a home run, two doubles and six RBI and was instrumental in Tech's 2-1 series win.

Edwards is the third Texas Tech position player to win the weekly honor from the Big 12 joining Josh Brady (Feb. 10) and Michael Mask (March 9).

Baylor's Mark McCormick was named the Big 12 Pitcher-of-the-Week.
