LUBBOCK, Texas - Current Texas Tech Football season ticket holders must renew their seats by Mon., April 12, to become eligible for seating upgrades for the 2004 season. Upgrades for Red Raider Club members will take place April 13-14, while season ticket holders without a RRC membership will be eligible for upgrades April 15-16. Renewals are necessary for the opportunity to upgrade seats, which allows current season ticket holders to select new seats if so desired.
All Red Raider Club members with season tickets will receive a postcard reminder during the first week of April. Upgrades can be done in person or over the phone. At the time of upgrading, customers also can purchase additional season tickets. Seats not renewed by April 12 will be released and made available for purchase.
Those purchasing new season tickets can contact the Athletics Ticket Office and have their names placed on a list for new season ticket sales and earn the opportunity to purchase those tickets prior to sales opening for the general public April 20. New season tickets range from $99 to $445 and are available in all sections of the stadium.
Other advantages of becoming a season ticket holder include the opportunity to pre-purchase individual home and away game tickets before they go on sale to the general public at the end of the summer and have priority when ordering postseason bowl game tickets. Season ticket holders also will receive special benefits, including a VIP card good for special offers at participating merchants, and TechTalk, periodic e-mails informing fans of the latest news in Texas Tech athletics.
For the first time ever, football season tickets can be renewed on-line at www.texastech.com. To renew on-line, current season ticket holders should 1) have their invoice readily available along with account number and pin; 2) log-on to www.texastech.com and click "RENEW SEASON TICKETS ONLINE" on the front page; and 3) follow the provided instructions. If problems arise, those wishing to renew season tickets should contact the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office at (888) GO-BIG-12 or (806) 742-TECH.
Renewing season tickets on-line enters fans in a drawing to win four Club Seats for the Texas Tech-Texas game Oct. 23. If the winner is a Red Raider Club member, that person will receive eight Club Seats for the Texas game.
