LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team will host the Kansas State Wildcats on Sat. March 6, at noon. The match will be held at the McLeod Tennis Center, and will be the second Big 12 Conference match for the Lady Raiders.
Texas Tech's spring record is currently 4-2 and 0-1 in Big 12 Conference play. The Lady Raiders won their first home match of the season yesterday against Abilene Christian, 7-0.
"I think Kansas State is really a strong team," said head coach Cari Groce. "I think we need to play as well, if not better than the way we played yesterday, and I expect that we will. Our team is getting better and better and they're feeling better about their game and the way they're playing and I think it will be a good match."
The Lady Raiders will head next to Columbia, Mo., where they will take on the Missouri Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on March 13.
