LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head women's tennis coach Cari Groce has been selected to chair the Division I academic awards committee for both men's and women's intercollegiate tennis. The committee is responsible for academic awards as well as individual All-American and All-America teams.

"I'm happy to have been selected," said Groce. "As a collegiate coach, you want to be as involved as possible in various areas, and not only does it help build the professional side of you as a coach, but it is also important to give back to our collegiate tennis association. I'm happy to do it."
