LUBBOCK, Texas - The No.46-ranked women's golf team came out strong shooting a 310-309-619 in the opening rounds of the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic in Norman, Okla. Junior Megan Hull leads all Lady Raiders tied for sixth, shooting a first and second round score of 150.

Sheila Mendez, junior, is tied for 23rd entering the final round after shooting a opening-day score of 155. Tech senior Jackie Ey finished the first day tied for 30th, shooting a 157, closely followed by junior Kim Kolb who finished tied for 35th, 158. Rounding out the last of Tech competitors is sophomore Hazel Tan who is tied for 42nd, 161.

The Lady Raiders will begin today's action in search of a third straight top five finish. Tech's possible top five finish would not only post a great ending to their final tournament, but will prepare the team for the tough Big 12 Championship ahead.

The Lady Raiders will begin the final day of the Susie Maxwell at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course (6,013, par-72) with a shotgun start today. Today will wrap up the last 18 holes of the 54-hole event.
