LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's May 4 baseball game against New Mexico has been cancelled because of a UNM scheduling snafu. Due to the timing of the cancellation, the game will not likely be replaced and the Red Raiders will finish the season one game short of the allowed 56 games.
Fans who have purchased individual game tickets for the Tuesday night game are eligible for a refund through the Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office in the north end of Jones SBC Stadium.
For the second time in three weeks, Tech has had a game cancelled with New Mexico because of UNM scheduling errors. The UNM program overscheduled last season and was assessed a penalty toward this year's schedule for the infraction, but overscheduled again this season.
