Assistant Ticket Coach Program Enters Second Year

LUBBOCK, Texas - A successful inaugural campaign in 2003 has prompted the Texas Tech Athletics Department to implement its Assistant Ticket Coach Program for the upcoming season. The program played an instrumental role in Tech's record 20,000-plus season ticket sales a year ago.
The football program is currently on pace to break last season's season ticket sales record with 19,400 sold to date. Over 15 businesses have endorsed the program this season and are among the current season ticket count.
"The Assistant Ticket Coach Program has been a successful method for businesses to allow clients and/or employees to sit together as a group and experience the game day atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement that surrounds Red Raider football," Craig Wells, Texas Tech Associate Athletic Director for External Operations, said.
The program allows businesses the opportunity to purchase a block of 18 $99 season tickets for $2000. The ticket plan also includes a business membership to the Red Raider Club. If a business is an existing member of the Red Raider Club, an additional $125 will be added by Tech to that businesses' yearly contribution.
Businesses may also purchase additional tickets under the plan and receive the following benefits: A season ticket priority for bowl tickets, early renewals and upgrades and, with a certain level of Red Raider Club donation, preferred paid parking. As a season ticket holder, each business will have a public address announcement per game with its logo on RaiderVision, shared with other Assistant Ticket Coach sponsors. Each participating business will be provided with sports schedule cards and posters for distribution from their business. Also included is a subscription to Tech Talk, an e-mail newsletter containing behind the scenes information on Texas Tech Football.
