Radio Affiliates Announced for 2004 Football Season

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech University football games will be broadcast throughout the state of Texas on the All Sports Radio Network in 2004. Red Raider football will make its debut on the network's newest affiliate, KGNB-AM 1420 in New Braunfels, which is among 30 affiliates on the network this season. Lubbock radio station KKAM 1340 remains the flagship station for the network. Texas Tech game broadcasts go on the air two hours prior to kickoff with a pre-game show hosted by Jack and Steve Dale. The pre-game show will feature interviews with several Red Raider players and coaches. The network's remaining stations will join the broadcast 30 minutes before kickoff with play-by-play announced Brian Jensen and color analyst John Harris. Mark Finkner will call the action from the sideline. The post-game show, featuring live interviews with Coach Mike Leach and Tech players, and highlights, airs immediately following each game. Finkner hosts the show, which runs 30-45 minutes following the end of the contest. Additionally, Red Raider fans can listen to game broadcast on the Internet at www.texastech.com. The service is provided as part of the College Sports Pass package, which listeners can subscribe to through the Texas Tech website.
