LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech women's basketball player senior Cisti Greenwalt is in satisfactory condition after a car accident that occurred Sunday evening outside Anton, Texas. Greenwalt, a 6-5 center from Clovis, N.M., suffered pulmonary contusions involving both lungs. Simply stated, this means both lungs are bruised not collapsed. In addition, she is bruised and banged up, but is expected to make a complete recovery. She was monitored overnight in the intensive care unit and is currently in satisfactory condition. If her recovery goes as expected and no complications develop, doctors anticipate her to be able to return to basketball workouts in the next four weeks. "This is a prime example of how seat belts save lives," said Dr. Rebecca Raedeke. "It is hard to imagine how she could have survived this rollover if she had not been wearing a seat belt."
