Autograph Day Slated for August 21 - Keep your calendar open this weekend as Texas Tech hosts its annual Fan Day on Sat., Aug. 21, on the turf of Jones SBC Stadium. In addition to the football team, the soccer and volleyball teams also will be on hand for autographs. Details for the event, scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., will be announced later this week. First Two-a-Day Workout in the Books - The first of Texas Tech's three-scheduled two-a-days is history as the Red Raiders practiced at 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday. The team also will run through multi-practice days Wednesday and Friday at the same times. Sounding Off - "It has been a lot hard work," freshman wide receiver Danny Amendola said following Monday's second workout. "I am just trying to learn the system. I'm trying to learn all the plays and I have been getting a lot of help from the older guys. I appreciate all the help I get. The workouts are pretty much what I expected." "The defense has been a lot more intense this year," senior corner Jamaal Jackson said Monday. "The offense picked it up a lot today and we went at it blow for blow. It's going to be a good year."
