Red Raider Soccer Falls to TCU, 2-0

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's soccer team lost to the Horned Frogs of TCU, 2-0, Sun., Aug. 29 at R.P. Fuller Stadium. The Red Raiders out shot TCU 13-11, while posting four shots on goal.
Once again, four freshmen started the match for Tech and six additional newcomers also saw playing time. Freshmen Jenifer Thomas, Kelcee Cameron and Abby Bergman tallied a combined three shots on goal while sophomore Ana Morton also rallied her first shot on goal of the season.
Junior Megan Knauss started in goal for the Red Raiders and made three saves while allowing one goal. Freshman Tina Rincon took over for Knauss at the half and made four saves while allowing only one goal, a penalty kick.
Red Raider Soccer heads back to the field when they host Angelo State on Fri., Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. at R.P. Fuller Stadium. Tickets for the 2004 season are available by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 742-TECH (8324) or (888) GO-BIG-12.
