The Game
No. 10/11 Texas Tech (13-2/4-0) travels to Lincoln, Neb., to take on Nebraska (11-5/3-1) Wed., Jan. 19, at 7:05 p.m. at the Devaney Center. It is the 12th meeting between the two programs. The Lady Raiders come into the game on a seven-game winning streak, while Nebraska has won five of its last six games.

There is no television coverage for this game. The game can be heard on the All Sports Radio Network, locally in Lubbock on KFYO-AM 790 and KKCL-FM 98.1, with play-by-play by Ryan Hyatt.
The Lady Raiders
Texas Tech is 13-2 on the year and 4-0 in the Big 12 after winning at Colorado, 87-41, last Saturday. On the year, four Lady Raiders are scoring in double figures led by sophomore Alesha Robertson at 16.0 and junior Chesley Dabbs at 14.4. Senior Cisti Greenwalt is averaging 13.7 points a game, while junior LaToya Davis is averaging 11.5. Davis is shooting a team and Big 12-high 61.7 percent from the field, while Robertson is shooting 41.9 percent from three-point range and 87.7 percent from the charity stripe. Greenwalt is the top rebounder, grabbing 9.3 boards per contest. Junior Erin Grant has team highs of 93 assists and 25 steals. Greenwalt is the top shot blocker with 58 blocks. Texas Tech is shooting 46.8 percent from the field, 38.4 percent from the three-point arc and 69.4 percent from the free throw line.
Scouting the Opponent
Nebraska enters the game with an 11-5 overall record and 3-1 in the Big 12 after falling at then No. 23/22 Kansas State, 74-59, last Saturday. In that game, sophomore Kiera Hardy scored a game-high 29 points and junior Jelena Spiric chipped in 10 points. Junior Elena Diaz had eight rebounds, while senior Jina Johansen collected nine assists. Junior LaToya Howell added four steals.
On the year, Hardy paces the Huskers and is second in the Big 12 in scoring with a 19.9 average followed by sophomore Jessica Gerhart at 12.1. Gerhart is the top rebounder, averaging 6.7 boards per outing. Johansen leads the team in assists with 103, while Howell has a team-high 28 steals. Freshman Danielle Page is the top shot blocker with 13 blocks. Nebraska is shooting 44.1 percent from the field, 33.5 percent from three-point range and 73.2 percent from the free throw line.
Connie Yori is in her third year at the helm of the Cornhuskers establishing a record of 37-37. She is also in her 15th year as a head coach with a career record of 232-177.
Series Record
It is the 12th meeting between Texas Tech and Nebraska with the Lady Raiders holding a 9-2 advantage. Last year, Tech defeated the Huskers, 68-55, Jan. 21 in Lubbock. The Lady Raiders have won the last eight against Nebraska. The Huskers last victory was a 62-57 triumph Feb. 9, 1997, in Lincoln. Tech has won three-straight games at Nebraska and is 3-2 all-time in Lincoln.

Last Time vs. Nebraska
Jan. 21, 2004 - (AP) - Facing a seven-point first-half deficit, third-ranked Texas Tech decided to get tough. Then the Lady Raiders got going. Alesha Robertson scored 19 points, and Cisti Greenwalt added a season-high 16 as Tech battled past Nebraska for a 68-55 win.
The Lady Raiders also got 12 points and a solid defensive performance from Casey Jackson.
After overcoming a 20-13 deficit, Tech took control shortly after the break. The Lady Raiders scored on four of their first five possessions and built a 38-30 lead with four players contributing baskets.
Robertson's free throws with 16:12 to go gave Tech a 40-30 lead. Nebraska never got closer than nine points the rest of the way.
Greenwalt scored 10 consecutive points for the Lady Raiders midway through the second half, with the last basket giving Tech a 52-37 lead with 9:41 left. A layup by Robertson with 4:20 to go gave Tech its biggest lead of the game at 60-43.
Keasha Cannon led Nebraska with 17 points. Margaret Richards added 13 and Chelsea Aubry 10.
There were five ties and three lead changes in the first half. Nebraska put together a 16-2 run in the early stages of the game to turn an 11-4 deficit into a 20-13 lead. Cannon scored six points during the run and capped it with an 8-footer in the lane.
The Lady Raiders responded with a 17-6 surge of their own. Tech tied the game 24-24 on a pair of free throws by Robertson with 2:41 to go in the half.
Texas Tech finished the run by scoring the final six points of the half.
After Erin Grant chased down her own missed shot and laid it in, Jackson followed with a pair of free throws. LaToya Davis got the final basket of the half off a nice pass from Grant to give Tech a 30-26 lead at the break.
Last Time Out
(AP) - Alesha Robertson scored 27 points and Chesley Dabbs had a career-high 22 to help No. 13 Texas Tech rout Colorado 87-41 on Saturday night.
Cisti Greenwalt added 12 points and LaToya Davis had 10 for Texas Tech (12-3, 4-0 Big 12). The Red Raiders limited Colorado to 31 percent shooting in winning their seventh straight and posting their most lopsided win over the Buffaloes.
Jackie McFarland led Colorado (7-7, 0-3) with 11 points. The Buffaloes have lost four straight at home to Texas Tech, last winning on Jan. 11, 1997.
A Look Ahead
Texas Tech returns home for two games against Kansas State Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. on FSN and Jan. 26 versus Missouri at 7 p.m. on the Texas Tech Television Network. The Lady Raiders will hit the road for a game at Texas A&M Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. on FSN. Tech will host Baylor Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. and Iowa State Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. The Iowa State game will be televised on the Texas Tech Television Network.

Field Goal Percentage
Texas Tech shot over 50 percent from the field in both games last week. The Lady Raiders shot 50.8 percent (30-of-59) against Texas and 55 percent (33-of-60) at Colorado. Tech has shot 50 percent or better on seven occasions this season, including three-straight games.
Robertson Has Big Week
Sophomore Alesha Robertson averaged 26.5 points in Texas Tech's two wins this week against Texas and at Colorado. She also shot 61.3 percent from the field and 56.3 percent from three-point range. At Colorado, she hit 7-of-10 three-pointers.
Career High for Dabbs
Junior Chesley Dabbs scored a career-high 22 points in Texas Tech's win at Colorado. Her previous career-high was 21 against Ole Miss earlier this season. Dabbs has scored in double figures in 10-straight games and in 11 of 15 games this year.
Griffin Gets Career Numbers vs. Buffs
Freshman Darrice Griffin tied her career-high 10 rebounds at Colorado. It was the second time in her career to have 10 rebounds in a game, the other coming against Miami in December. She also recorded a career-high three blocks against the Buffs.
100th Big 12 Win
Texas Tech got its 100th Big 12 regular-season win Jan. 12 in a 79-62 triumph over Texas. Tech is the first school in the Big 12 to get 100 regular-season wins in league play. The Lady Raiders are 101-31 in the Big 12.
A Top Crowd
Texas Tech had another top crowd with 14,253 fans in attendance in Tech's game against Texas Jan. 12. It marked the 12th largest crowd to witness a Lady Raider game in the United Spirit Arena. Tech had 14,119 fans in attendance for their game against Sacramento State Dec. 28, now the 13th largest crowd. Tech has sold out (15,050) the USA six times for a Lady Raider game since opening in November 1999.
4-0 Start
Texas Tech is off to a 4-0 start in Big 12 play for the fifth time in the history of the Big 12 Conference. Tech started off 4-0 or better in 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2003.
Tech Gets First Top 25 Win
Texas Tech's 79-62 win over No. 12/11 Texas Jan. 12 was the first win for the Lady Raiders against a ranked team this season. Tech's only other game versus a ranked opponent was against then No. 7/5 Stanford, in which Tech lost 61-58, Nov. 28 in Santa Clara, Calif.
Myrick Grabs Career High Rebounds
Freshman Erin Myrick came off the bench against Texas Jan. 12 to grab a career high of seven rebounds. Myrick played 14 quality minutes in the Lady Raiders' win. Her previous high was six rebounds on three occasions this season.
Big 12 Openers
Texas Tech is now 8-1 in Big 12 openers after beating Oklahoma, 70-64, Jan. 5. Tech's only loss came at Iowa State, 62-37, Jan. 2, 2000. The Lady Raiders are now 4-0 in Big 12 openers at home.
Baughman Sinks Career High 3s
Sophomore Brooke Baughman sank a career-high three three-pointers at Oklahoma State Jan. 8. Baughman was 3-for-3 behind the arc in that game.
Kickin' It Up A Notch
Junior LaToya Davis continues to be a spark for the Lady Raiders. The Houston, Texas, native led the team with 22 points against Oklahoma. After the Oklahoma State game, Davis had scored in double figures in six-straight games before ending her streak against Texas Jan. 12. She had scored in double figures in 10 of the last 12 games. She is also leading the Big 12 in field goal percentage at 61.7 percent.
Climbing Up the Charts
Junior Erin Grant is moving closer to taking over second place on Texas Tech's career assists list. Grant has compiled 535 assists in her two and half years at Tech. Standing in second is Krista Kirkland with 553 and in first is Melinda Schmucker-Pharies with 603. Grant's 535 assists currently ranks sixth all-time in the Big 12.
Greenwalt Gets Seventh Double-Double of Season
Senior Cisti Greenwalt had her seventh double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds against Oklahoma Jan. 5. It was her 17th double-double as a Lady Raider. Her seven of the season is tied for second in the Big 12.
Non-Conference Play
Texas Tech concluded non-conference play with a 9-2 record and was perfect at home with an 8-0 record. The Lady Raiders averaged 79.3 points a game during non-conference action compared to their opponents 50.5 points a game. Tech's two losses were by an average of just two points.
Double-Double for Davis
Junior LaToya Davis registered her second double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds against Idaho State. It marked the seventh double-double of her career.
Double Digit Assists
For the second time this season, junior Erin Grant collected double digit assists in a game as she tallied 12 against Idaho State. Her first game of 10 or more assists this year came against Miami Dec. 6 when she also had 12 assists. She has recorded 10-plus assists 13 times in her career.
Griffin Gets Career High Against Bengals
Freshman Darrice Griffin came off the bench to score a career-high 11 points against Idaho State. Griffin's previous career high was eight, which she had twice this season against Miami and Mississippi.
Career Numbers for Smith
Freshman Judith Smith continues to get quality minutes and put up career highs. The Long Beach, Calif., native scored 12 points and added career highs of six rebounds, two three-pointers and two blocks against Sacramento State. She dished out a career-high five assists vs. Idaho State.
Season High Scoring for Greenwalt
Senior Cisti Greenwalt scored a season-high 21 points in leading Texas Tech to victory over Penn State Dec. 21. Greenwalt's previous season high was 20 points versus Miami Dec. 6. Her career high is 26 points, which occurred against Wyoming Dec. 14, 2002.
Four Starters in Double Figures
Four of Texas Tech's starters scored in double figures against Penn State. Senior Cisti Greenwalt scored 21 points followed by junior Chesley Dabbs with 13 and junior LaToya Davis and sophomore Alesha Robertson with 12 points apiece. The five starters, including junior Erin Grant's nine points, combined to score 67 of Tech's 79 points.
More Double-Doubles
Senior Cisti Greenwalt recorded her fifth and sixth double-doubles of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds against Arkansas State and 14 points and 12 rebounds against Virginia Tech in the Las Vegas Duel in the Desert. She now has 16 double-doubles in her career and the six registered this season rank first in the Big 12. Greenwalt also had double-doubles against Rice (19 pt., 15 rb.), Arkansas-Little Rock (14 pt., 10 rb.), Miami (20 pt., 10 rb.) and Oral Roberts (18 pt., 14 rb.). Against Oral Roberts, she also swatted a season-high seven blocks.
Tournament Honors
Senior Cisti Greenwalt was named the MVP of the Las Vegas Duel in the Desert tournament, while teammates junior Chesley Dabbs and sophomore Alesha Robertson were named to the all-tournament team.
Block Buster
Senior Cisti Greenwalt tied her season-high seven blocks against Virginia Tech. It also marked a Cox Pavilion (Las Vegas, Nev.) record.
Davis Scores Season High
Junior LaToya Davis poured in a season-high 23 points against Virginia Tech, just one point shy of her career-high 24 points.
Big 12 Player of the Week
Sophomore Alesha Robertson was named the Big 12 Player of the Week Dec. 13, for her performances Dec. 6-12. During that time she set the school record for most three-point baskets made in a game when she hit nine en route to scoring a career-high 37 points against Miami Dec. 6. For the week, she averaged 22.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, while shooting 44.2 percent from the field, 57.7 percent from the three-point arc and 93.8 percent from the free throw line.
Tech Holds Ole Miss to Record-Low Shooting Percentage
Texas Tech held Ole Miss to just 16.2 percent from the field which set a new school record for lowest field goal percentage by an opponent. The previous low was 16.9 percent by SMU last year.
School Record 3s
Sophomore Alesha Robertson set the school record for most three-point shots made in a game with nine against Miami en route to scoring a career-high 37 points. The previous record was eight set last season by Natalie Ritchie against Oklahoma State. Robertson was 9-for-12 from three-point range.
Big 12 Career Block Leader
Senior Cisti Greenwalt is now the Big 12 Conference's all-time leader in blocked shots with 253. She passed Britt Hartshorn of Colorado (1999-02), who had 208, as the league's career leader in blocks. Greenwalt set the Texas Tech school record last season.
100-Point Game
Texas Tech scored 109 points in its victory over Miami Dec. 6. Last season, Tech scored at least 100 points on two occasions: 100 vs. Pacific Dec. 8, 2003 and 106 vs. Oklahoma State Jan. 10, 2004. The 2003-04 season was the first time Tech had scored 100-plus points more than once in the same season since 1994-95. The 109 points versus Miami marks the 11th season Tech has accomplished the feat of scoring 100 or more points in a game. During 1992-93, Tech scored 100 or more points on six occasions, which is the most of any Lady Raider season.
First Time for Everything
For the first time in school history, Texas Tech welcomes its first international player and first California natives to its roster. Sophomore Patrice Edwards hails from Trinidad-Tobago, West Indies, while freshman Erin Myrick is from Duarte, Calif., and freshman Judith Smith comes from Long Beach, Calif.
Naismith Candidates
Junior Erin Grant and sophomore Alesha Robertson were selected preseason candidates for the Naismith Trophy. Grant, a native of Arlington, Texas, was a second team All-Big 12 selection in 2004 after averaging 8.3 points and 6.5 assists per game. She currently ranks third on Tech's career list for assists with 535 and is on pace to break the school record (603) this season. Plainview, Texas, native Robertson is Tech's top returning scorer from last year as she averaged 12.4 points per contest. Robertson was honorable mention All-Big 12 last season.
Preseason Honors
Sophomore transfer Patrice Edwards was named the preseason Co-Big 12 Newcomer of the Year by the league coaches, while junior Erin Grant and sophomore Alesha Robertson were named preseason honorable mention All-Big 12. Robertson was named preseason second team All-America by Women's Basketball News Service, Grant was named to the third team. Grant was also selected preseason honorable mention by Street & Smith's.
Grant Among the Best at Her Position
Junior Erin Grant was selected as one of the top five point guards in the country by ESPN.com. Joining Grant on the list were Jamie Carey (Texas), Dionnah Jackson (Oklahoma), Temeka Johnson (LSU) and Cappie Pondexter (Rutgers).
Winning Percentage By Class
The senior class, which consists of just one player - Cisti Greenwalt is 87-28 (.757) and 35-17 (.673) in the Big 12. The juniors post a 67-16 (.807) mark and 27-9 (.750) in the conference. The sophomore class is 38-10 (.792) and 14-6 (.700) in the league, while the freshmen are 13-2 (.867) and 4-0 (1.000) in the Big 12.
On the Tube
Texas Tech will have 16 regular-season games televised this season. Those airing on FSN include: vs. Stanford (L, 61-58), at Oklahoma State (W, 76-38), Kansas State Jan. 26, at Texas A&M Jan. 30 and at Baylor March 3. Tech played at Colorado (W, 87-410 FSN Rocky Mountain. The Lady Raiders will face Texas in Austin on Feb. 13 on ESPN2. The Texas Tech Television Network will broadcast Arkansas-Little Rock (W, 69-29), Oral Roberts (W, 79-46), Sacramento State (W, 83-37), Oklahoma (W, 70-64), Texas (W, 79-62), Missouri Jan. 26, Iowa State Feb. 8, Texas A&M Feb. 19 and Oklahoma State Feb. 26.
Lady Raiders in the Polls
Since January 20, 1992, the Lady Raiders have been ranked in the Top 25 in the Associated Press and/or the USA Today poll a total of 242 weeks. That includes the Jan. 17 polls in which Tech is ranked 10th in the Associated Press top 25 poll and 11th in the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Coaches poll.
