Lady Raiders Have Successful Super Sunday

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's basketball team held its annual first open practice with Lady Raider Super Sunday at the United Spirit Arena. Approximately 2,500 fans were in attendance to watch the Lady Raiders workout.
The day started off with the introduction of the players and coaches followed by the Lady Raiders' workout. Fans were then able to compete in various contests. The Lady Raiders also assisted kids with shooting free throws.
A Coaches vs. Cancer presentation took place encouraging fans to take part in the Coaches vs. Cancer program, which head coach Marsha Sharp has been involved with the past 10 years.
The Lady Raiders finished practice with a scrimmage, and then held an autograph session for those in attendance.
Texas Tech will tip-off the season on Sun., Nov. 13, against LSU at 2:30 p.m. in the State Farm Women's Tip-Off Classic in Lubbock.
